Martin's executive chef has pulled out all the stops on the newest items in our famous Kitchen Fresh, ready-to-eat line.

 

After tasting hundreds of recipes, Chef Scott Rossen chose only the 10 very best and now every Martin's Deli is rolling them out just in time for your summer get togethers, big or small. Each new selection combines the finest, freshest ingredients available, delivering the quality you've come to expect from Kitchen Fresh along with convenience you can count on!

 

New Entrees:

  • Ricotta & Spinach Tortellini with Alfredo Sauce
  • Chicken Parmesan
  • Flank Steak
  • Home-style Meatloaf
  • Honey Garlic Chicken

Discover a new sandwich idea — the torta!

 

Torta is a Spanish word for a warm, multilayered sandwich that starts with either one of two authentic rolls. A bolillo roll is oval-shaped, with a crusty exterior and soft interior. A telera roll is slightly larger and rounder, and has a crease or two in the middle. Tortas are easy to make in your own kitchen if you follow these simple directions. Don’t be afraid to experiment with ingredients, though. They taste great cold, too!

 

1. Slice the roll in half (like a hamburger bun)

2. Spread butter, mayo, crema (Mexican sour cream) or refried beans on one or both open sides (use your imagination — anything goes!)

3. Pile on sliced pork, chicken, beef, bacon or even shrimp (or a combo)

4. Add a white cheese (such as Chihuahua or manchego)

5. Finish with roasted tomatillo sauce, chile paste, avocado or jalapenos

For warm tortas: Heat the torta in a Panini press or on the griddle with a simple weight on top (be sure to grill both sides)
