Book & a Snack
A brand new option for your Daisy Troop, your girls will enjoy a “mini” cooking class of sorts. Girls will enjoy a reading of one of their favorite books, and then help prepare a snack to coincide with their storytelling. Possible menus include Caterpillar Pizzas and Dirt Dessert (The Very Hungry Caterpillar), and Pesto Eggs and Strawberry French Toast (Green Eggs & Ham).
Make It, Eat It
This class is especially for Brownies, designed to give them a full hands-on experience in our state of the art kitchen classroom. Your girls will participate in making a great meal including Oreo Truffles, From Scratch Chicken Noodle Soup, Homemade Sloppy Joes, and Berry Smoothies.
Eat Right, Stay Healthy
Another fun class for Brownies! Your girl scouts are sure to enjoy this try-it, where they will experience healthy foods in a new way. Girls will take part in an exotic fruit tasting, create their own yogurt sundaes, construct veggie art, and more!
Let's Get Cooking
Designed with your Junior Girl Scouts in mind, this experience will help your girls understand every aspect of the cooking process. In addition to taking our taste buds on a world tour, we’ll learn when it’s time to throw out expired food and how to make recipes healthier. This class is also completely hands-on with a menu that includes Cream Cheese Wontons (Chinese-American), Paella (Spanish), Haroset (Kosher/Middle Eastern), and Lime Tarts (Caribbean).
Food Power
Another great hands-on experience for Juniors! Your girls will learn how to eat healthy foods in fun ways. Girl scouts will participate in a healthy food relay, create their own trail mix, and make and eat a few healthy surprises along the way!
Creative Cooking
Creative Cooking is a cooking class especially for Cadettes and Senior Girl Scouts. Your troop will take part in a number of hands-on cooking activities like cake decorating, making homemade pasta, and preparing chili cheese empanadas. In addition to learning about new kinds of cooking, your young ladies will learn about food service and get a backstage pass to see what it’s like to be a food service professional.
